Welcome
to the Höllgrotten restaurant
We warmly welcome you right at the entrance to the enchanting Höllgrotten caves, nestled in the natural surroundings of Baar-Zug. Hostess Caro Schmitt, with over 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry, and chef Martin Schmitt, who has been passionately cooking for just as long, run the restaurant with passion, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for good hospitality.
Look forward to honest, home-style cooking – made with fresh, regional ingredients, lovingly prepared, and at fair prices. Whether for a leisurely excursion, lunch after a cave visit, or a social gathering on our terrace: With us, you'll always be in the best company – surrounded by nature, flavor, and warmth.
Homely, fresh and with
Love cooked.
At the Höllgrotten restaurant, you can expect honest, down-to-earth cuisine, just as you would expect – from classics like crispy Cordon Bleu with golden fries to fine Rösti variations or a hearty meatloaf.
Fish lovers will also get their money’s worth:

Our dishes are inspired by traditional Swiss cuisine, given a modern twist and are perfect for a leisurely outing, a family meal or a relaxing lunch in the midst of nature.

a natural wonder right on your doorstep
